The Menden-Deuer Lab at the University of Rhode Island is a world-class oceanography lab focused on linking microscopic organismal behaviors with global scale processes. With an out of date and difficult to manage website, the lab was due for a redesign which converted their static HTML site to the dynamic WordPress platform. The goal was to create a scalable and easy to manage website to feature the lab’s news, current and past research, peer-reviewed publications, and unique student, postdoc, and lab technician profiles. We hope the new found ease of use and functionality will help facilitate the sharing of scientific information, helping to bridge the gap between science and the public.
